I found an interesting post on the Noisy Channel blog describing what author Daniel Tunkelang calls the word break problem. I didn’t find this post interesting because the problem is a good interview question, I found it interesting because Daniel asked about the run time complexity of the solution presented.
Yesterday Plus 1 Lab submitted the CityReporter iPhone app to the iTunes App Store. We hope to have approval for the app sometime in the next 10-14 days. This app is exciting because it can work with any Open311 GeoReport v2 server implementation. It’s easy to configure and works out of the box with the Plus 1 Lab GeoReport v2 implementation (known as CityReporter Server around here).
We’re always interested in feedback, so please try out the server implementation and other services. I’ll post the API documentation we use shortly. For now you can check out the Open311 web site for the current API. We have only minor differences, particularly when posting file attachments to a report, that will be very obvious once I publish the API documentation.
If you’re interested in testing the server or the apps please let me know by leaving a comment or sending me a message using the email form on the Plus1Lab.com home page.
I’ll post again when the iPhone app is approved and in the store. It’s price is FREE so there’s no excuse not to download it and give it a try.
